Hello! In India, the hierarchy of media publication (print media) is all dependent upon many factors. The hierarchial organizational structure mainly depends upon the size of this publications. But at a broad level. Starting from the topmost desk, their is # President. # Editor in Chief. # Managing Editor. (This position is becoming rarer as publishers or business managers assume this role.) # Departmental Editor # Copy Desk. After that, it's all about the organization's objective. When reporters finish stories, they usually go to the department editor, who checks to make sure they fit the goals of the assignment. Then they go to the copy desk for editing and headline writing, then back to the department editor for final approval. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Hi, The hierarchy of a Media publication can vary from one company to another. In a Media publication the publisher can be owner of the company and head both news and sales. The roles and designations may vary from company to company; here is the basic structure of a media publication house.nEditor-in-chief- He/she oversees the entire staff. He is the most prominent member of the editorial team. She/he is the public face of the newspaper or magazine.managing Editors- The role of the Managing Editor is to manage the day to day operations. Which story should be on front page, which content should go in next edition, this all is decided by this particular person. Both Managing Editor and Editor-in-chief, works simultaneously in the favour of newspaper/magazine.section Editors/ HOD- Business Editor, entertainment Editor, Metro Editors.
