What is the salary of a junior IRS and IAAS officer?

Both IRS and IAAS are Group A services, and their salary scales are similar. 1. Indian Revenue Service: The first posting of an IRS officer is as the assistant commissioner of tax. At this post, their salary range is Rs. 15,600 to Rs. 39,100, and their grade pay is Rs. 5,400. Later, their first promotion is to Deputy Commissioner, and their grade pay increases to Rs. 6,600. 2. Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IAAS): An IAAS officer gets their first posting as an assistant director. At this post, IAAS are entitled to a similar salary scale to that of the assistant commissioner of tax. The basic salary is around Rs. 57,000. Their first promotion is to deputy director, and they can reach up to the post of deputy CAG.
