Marine Engineering has quite good scope in India, and may be even better than abroad. India has an increasing export sector which always creates demand for professionals in field. The salary package for a beginner can range from INR. 2.5 LPA to INR. 4.5 LPA.

First of all merchant navy is a good sector.Marine engineer is a part of it .Marine engineering career have a good scope not only in india but all over the world.Marine engineer salary ranges between 2.5- 4 Lacs in indian rupees per month.In bulk carriers ro-ro carriers it will be little low.While in oil carriers ,chemical and gas carriers it will be on a bit higher.
