What is the scope after B.Pharma?

Pharmacy is a part of the medicine field that relates the chemical Science with the health sciences. The professionals working in this field are generally called as pharmacists. Their job includes the preparation, mixing, compound or distributes various drugs, medicines, tablets, ointments, etc. They implement these works on the prescription of a medical profession, veterinarian or dentists. As a faculty at LPU, I would like to share LPU school of pharma details. LPU has tie-ups with renowned companies from different industries. If we talk specifically of B.Pharma the placement scenario of B.Pharma is getting better year by year. About 60-70 per cent of students get placed every year with decent packages. A lot of companies come to LPU for placement, many of which are open to students of all streams. Companies like SmurAgro, Dr Lal Path Labs, Capgemini, Google, etc. Come to the campus for recruitment of students. Most importantly, LPU makes students capable of getting placed in the best companies in different sectors. It helps them in developing their communication skills, aptitude skills, and overall personality. Moreover, LPU provides its students with exposure which makes them ready to work in diverse industries.

The full form of B.Pharma is Bachelor of Pharmacy. Whenever a cure for a disease is found, the Pharmacy has a really big role in researching and testing it before it is available for treatment. Medicine includes diagnosing the cause of disease and then, treatment to eradicate the disease or to prevent it from growing in the environment; Pharmacists are becoming an integral part of the healthcare industry for this and making the sector a success. It is a major segment of the healthcare Industry contributing to research in medicinal drugs as well as developing, manufacturing, and supply of medications in the market. As a Pharmacy practitioner who understands medicines majorly work in research and development of pain drugs, work on medical complications by altering the drugs. Also, to quality check and control as per the regulations of Pharmacy Council. The Pharmacy sector is divided into different segments including hospital/clinical pharmacy, industrial pharmacy and Pharmacy Regulators, etc. A Bachelor of Pharmacy degree is the gateway for entering the Pharmacy sector in the Medical and Health Care Industry. One who pursues this degree studies core subjects including Pharmaceuticals, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy. The Pharmacy industry offers not just developing drugs but also, testing for quality check, regulating labs as per the standards.

After B.Pharma you can join any pharma company. Or you can open your own medicine shop. If you pursue your course from LPU you will also get required license from PCI.
