NET, or National Eligibility Test is conducted to select the candidates for higher teaching positions in colleges and universities. The proper use of this examination is to join a reputed university like LPU as a Asst Professor and also pursue the Ph.D. in the same subject from same university. The double benefit of having a prestigious job as well as further research in subjects will lead to higher positions in teaching as well as research in same or other universities. If you do well, you can even go to foriegn universities for post doctorate afterwards !
Guess what? Even Dr Manmohan Singh has done similarly !
