Hi, For life science students, most of the opportunities are found in universities and research institutions. There are a large number of research institutions under the council of scientific and industrial research. You can opt the option of CSIR NET exam as it will give you a great career scope in research. If you are a science student and willing to pursue your career further as a junior research fellow or an assistant professor, then you should aim for CSIR NET exam, and later you can become a scientist.

As said by Deepanshi, 1 option is to go for CSIRNET which will make you eligible for JRF or lectureship. The other option is to go abroad and study PhD in your area of interest which I think personally is the best option. Thirdly, you can give DRDO grade B scientists entrance test. You can also pursue law to become a patent agent IP. That is also an option.
    Hope this helps!
