What is the scope for B.Arch?

Hi Ameen, After completing B.Arch, there are multiple opportunities equally in private and public sectors. - Skilled professionals can seek employment in government organizations such as city development, state and central public work, departments, municipalities, housing and urban development corporation. - The most advantaged scope in the field of architecture is private practice. After gaining some experience in an organization, the architects can set up their own company. - Professionals in this career can also opt for teaching jobs in universities and colleges. - A skilled architect, to work as a consultant or to set up private practice, should register with The Council of Architecture before beginning their profession. The Council of Architecture constituted by the Government of India is charged with the responsibility to regulate the education and practice of profession throughout India besides maintaining the register of architects. - Individual architects or architectural practices can opt to specialize in one number of fields such as, hospital, housing or educational services. Dear MD Ameen, After your B.Arch besides Master of Architecture, one can pursue a Master of Urban Design, Master of Design (Industrial Design), Master of Planning (Environmental Planning / Housing / Regional Planning / Transport Planning / Urban Planning), Master of Landscape Architecture, Master of Building Engineering and Management. As per the best of my knowledge, B.Arch is a good choice to do at LPU. My friend is pursuing the same course. The Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) for B.Arch is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 with English and also 60% marks in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics or Pass with 60% in Diploma (any stream) (3 years) recognised by Central/ State government. (with Mathematics) or equivalent, subject to qualifying marks in NATA 2021 or JEE Main (Paper-II) (90 percentile or above) or qualifying marks in any specially designed aptitude test in Architecture conducted by the competent authority of the Central/ State Governments (as/ if allowed by the statutory body for 2021-22). Some of the job profiles in this field are Architect, Lead Architect, Landscape Architect / Designer, Interior Designer, Interior Stylist, Associate Architect, Surveyor, Project manager, etc. The average salaries range from INR 4,50,000 to INR 11,45,00. After completion of this course, students can undertake Masters programs in architecture or planning. Further, they may take up M.Tech and then go for M.Phil. Or Ph.D. programs. An architect or an architectural engineering professional has a huge scope, whether in the job sector or in academics. Some of these future opportunities have been enumerated below: A number of private and government organizations offer jobs in this field. Most of the openings in this field are in the construction industry. With numerous construction projects being taken up these days, there is a huge demand for architects and other related professionals.
