    The making of the film involves producers, directors, script and screenplay writers, camera people, cinematographers and actors. As such the director is the captain of the ship and has a good working knowledge of all the above areas. As a fresher, one needs to align oneself with a director with the objective of getting hands-on experience and basically trying to learn the ropes. With time and experience, one can hope to grow to the position of an Assistant Director and subsequently a Director.
