What is the scope for BTech in Distance. with 5 years Indl. Exp.

My friend is doing job ina an MNC since last 5 yrs. and his plaaning to do BTech in Distance from Karnataka State Open University (Mysore), whether its having good scope in his career. Please help them in details.
