Hello Scope of production engineering is much more than you can think. Usually in multinational companies a production engineer controls a manufacturing department etc. It is just that a production engineer with high grade pay always comes top(in the management area). Scope of production engineering is better in foreign countries compare to india. A production engineering can go for MBA. After MBA , good job opportunity in top multinational companies.This branch under the mechanical engineering department. In mechanical engineering study about the RAC , automobiles sector but in productionj engineering study about the new production technology , manufacturing process, material science , quality control and realistic.

Its all about products and processes! Production engineers are responsible for devising exactly how something is going to be made, what machines are going to make it and how it can be made as efficiently and as safely as possible. These products can be anything from newspapers and plastic bottles to tin cans and iPods. Alternatively, you could even be working to facilitate the transfer of hydrocarbons from oil into the production process. As long as theres a production line and a process, youre likely to find a production Scope of production in India engineer is huge. There are lot of openings in different countries. Experience is the base of all. Try to get more experience, then job offers and pay scale increases. A few fields where production engineer get placed are : Automobile companies- For inspection, quality control, operation of automated equipments etc. Manufacturing industries- For inspection, quality control, operation of automated equipments, to control assembly line, production management etc. Food processing industries- For inspection, quality control, Production management etc. Railways- Manufacturing processes and its control etc. Process industries.
