six sigma in layman terms is pure applications of stats to reduce the defects per million opportunities. many companies those who are particularly into manufacturing want to deploy some quality management including reduction of waste. It is a well paid job and your success depend on successful implementation of the project. Six sigma works on a hierarchal structure. It constitutes of White Belts, Green Belts, Black Belts and Master Black Belts. Each belt is distinguished from other on the basis of its skill level and scope in terms of process improvement. As an hR, I have seen a huge demand for Six Sigma professionals with excellent pay package. Usually a person with 6 to 7 years experience and a master black belt can expect salary between 8 Lakhs to 12 lakhs.
