What is the scope if I qualify for GATE? Can I get a job or admission in a college for M.Tech with GATE scores?
I have scored less GPA in B.Tech (5.2 out of 10). I have B.Tech (2015) in Electrical with 50% marks.

If you have less CGPA in B.Tech, then you should score good marks in GATE exam, otherwise you will not be able to get admission in top colleges.

GATE exam is quite different from college exams. And the score in GATE matters mainly when it is above 95 percentile. You can get admission in IIT and. NIT, and also join in PSU. So in case the score is below that then getting admission in M.Tech becomes somewhat difficult, as you'll have to wait a long time so that some seats remain vacant. But still you can prepare for PSU exams, and private jobs are always an option. Another option is that if you are gate qualified, then applying for M.Tech in a college makes you eligible for government scholarship.
