Physiotherapy is defined as the system of medicine that includes examination, diagnosis, treatment, advice, and instruction to any person preparatory in connection with movement dysfunction, bodily malfunction, physical disorder, disability, healing & pain from trauma & disease, physical & mental conditions using physical agents including exercise, mobilization, manipulation, mechanical and electrotherapy devices. Being an alumni I would like to throw some light on course as my couple of friends were in the same field. Physiotherapy is defined as the system of medicine that includes examination, diagnosis, treatment, advice, and instruction to any person preparatory in connection with movement dysfunction, bodily malfunction, physical disorder, disability, healing & pain from trauma & disease, physical & mental conditions using physical agents including exercise, mobilization, manipulation, mechanical and electrotherapy devices. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English Physics Chemistry and Biology or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST&For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants)

Physiotherapy is treatment to restore, maintain, and make the most of a patient's mobility, function, and well-being. Physiotherapy helps through physical rehabilitation, injury prevention, and health and fitness. Physiotherapists get you involved in your own recovery. A physiotherapy student has an option to pursue higher education after BPT and can also specialize in the field of physiotherapy. BPT graduates are also eligible for courses like hospital administration, business management, public health management & various other postgraduate programs. This builds up the confidence of the student and make them more familiar with their work. LPU also has a good placement cell of this department which is not at all fake. Students can attain positions in sports training centres, health and fitness centres, hospitals, physiotherapy & rehabilitation centres, spastic societies and special schools. Opportunities also include pursuing higher studies in reputed universities in India and abroad. Students can also avail jobs in health insurance and medical coding companies. Strong emphasis is laid on the theoretical and practical aspects of physiotherapy and healthcare through courses on clinical.
