7 years agoAir cargo handlers work at airports loading and unloading baggage. These workers require little education and usually receive on-the-job training. The outlook is for these jobs to grow slower than average. Air cargo handlers specialize in loading, staging, securing and unloading cargo and baggage on airplanes. To accurately perform their duties, they must calculate the aircraft's center of gravity and assess the quantity of cargo. Air cargo handlers work in all weather conditions and operate a variety of equipment, including trucks, forklifts, conveyors and baggage tugs.

Air Cargo appeared to be quite esoteric subject to many and sceptics were sounding death knell of this industry for quite some time. But, against all this bias and bad news, Air Cargo out of India is not only showing signs of revival, but showing healthy growth rate for past couple of years. Trend is pretty good.
This, actually is no surprise. Air Traffic is growing in India at a healthy pace for the last couple of years. General revival of economy, export of perishable goods in large quantity, and of course traditional exports have picked up steam and every quarter is showing more air cargo as compared with previous quarter.
