What is the scope of architecture?

Hi Eligibility for B.Arch in most of the top universities is pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English and Maths) or Diploma (any stream) (3 years) recognised by Central/ State government. (with Mathematics), subject to qualifying marks as per NATA 2018 or qualifying marks in any specially designed aptitude test in Architecture conducted by the competent authority of the Central/ State Governments (as/ if allowed by statutory body for 2018-19), e. g. JEE (Main) Paper II. Career prospects of B.Arch are: government. Architect's offices of different state and universities. In government. Engineering offices like P. W. D. , Public Health, Irrigation, Town Planning Corporation offices etc. As Draughtsman. Teaching jobs. Large percentage of Diploma holders in Architectural Assistantship find employment with private architects and also majority of them go for self- employment. Some percentage of students may find employment in state housing boards, urban development authorities. Diploma holder in architect assistantship mainly assist the architect who is a degree holder in making drawings and supervising the building under construction In some states local self government. Does give them license to approve plans of buildings. Self employment scope is very much there. It will be advisable if you do your degree from a well known university that provides prime placement opportunity, outstanding industrial exposure and professional enhancement training. I would advice you to check the affiliation of the university, providing you extraordinary learning environment, well qualified faculty, best placement opportunity. You must make sure that you are enrolling yourself in a premium university that provides you access to ample growth opportunities. Some of them are Lovely Professional University, J. J School of architecture, Mumbai, School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), New Delhi, CEPT University etc. Few of these universities provides extensive learning programs and exposure to the students. They also provide worthy scholarships to its students depending upon the entrance test taken of the university or board result. Hi, The career opportunities for architects are very high because of the boom in the construction and designing fields. They are demanded in various government and private organizations. You can work in the sectors of construction, urban planning, urban development corporations, public works departments, interior designing, etc. Architects have lots of job opportunities in architect firms, universities, consultancy companies, etc. Global market, especially in the USA, Australia and Dubai provide attractive career and jobs for architecture graduates. Government Organizations offering jobs to the B.Arch candidates such as Archaeological Department, National Building Organization, Ministry of Defense, Departments of Railways, Housing and Urban Development Corporation, Public Works Department, etc. Some other organizations also hire architects are: Builders, State Departments, Consultants, Local Bodies for construction works, Architecture Firms, etc. After completing graduation, you can go for the higher studies. You can pursue Master degree or further studies in architecture field. You can also work as a lecturer in various institutions. You can also work with an architectural firm or under the supervision of a well-established architect. As an architectural consultant, you can work in different construction companies.

Once you get through the course and pass out with good grades, you'd be pursued by large firms looking for fresh talent and new ideas. And compared to most other fields, Architects make a lot more money. While you study Architecture, you get to study various fields of human endeavor, including Art, History, Material Science, Physics, Engineering anything and everything that can help improve the living environment of human beings. It is the most diverse subject you can find. And yet, this field attracts the most creative in the world. The work of an Architect one of the most challenging and enjoyable imaginable. Every building is different. Every project is different. There is absolutely no monotony in life. The thrill and the challenge of work is exhilarating to say the least. If your the kind of person who likes to work with his (or her) hands, then Architecture is the right profession for you. In Architecture study course, you get to work with your hands. Its not just about reading and writing all the time, but you must have a hands-on approach on many assignments. Building scale models, making surveys, talking to people its a very active field. Architecture may sound like a 9 to 5 office job, but its not. Its a lot more than that. Even as a student of Architecture, you get to work on real-life problems of designing functional buildings. If you like to hit the road every now and then, your in for some luck. In this profession, you get to travel a lot. You have to put your feet on the ground, and visit construction sites.
