It is just a myth that Agriculture does not offer job opportunities. Lovely Professional University is the first private University which has got accreditation from ICAR. Curriculum here is as per the guidelines of ICAR (Indian Council of Agriculture Research) and is designed to train students to understand ways of improving the crop production in a sustainable manner and to provide overall knowledge related to agriculture. Actually my cousin has completed his degree from here only. The most significant thing which should be emphasized is that LPU is the first private university which has been approved by ICAR. I along with my cousins had visited the fields, labs. Hello Kunal,
The students of B.Sc agriculture can work with firms of the private or public sectors. With public sector firms, one can get employed as Agricultural Research Scientist (ARS). But, to get this position you would have to appear for an entrance exam.
The job opportunities are also available for applicants as teachers. They can write ARS-NET exam and get employed with colleges as lecturers. The jobs are also available for aspirants as Agriculture Development Officers (ADO) or as Block Development Officers.
I hope it helps. If so, kindly upvote this answer. If you have any further questions, kindly revert.
