B.Sc. In Agriculture is a broad-based course with great potential. It deals with things like food production, horticulture, animal rearing, rural economy and rural development, environmental health, etc. Other industries may face downsizing but agriculture can never fall prey because food is the basic necessity for life. Feeding the world will never face a recession or a slowdown. In fact, the development in technology, research, and innovation has multiplied the scope of agriculture in a big way. B.Sc. Agriculture is one of the most booming course these days. After B.Sc Agriculture you can work as: Agriculture development officer, administrative posts in government and non-government organizations and self-employed (establishing agriculture-based small industries).
You can also join Pvt. companies as sales officer or technical representatives in pesticide, fertilizer, seed and irrigation systems companies, etc. I would like to recommend you that you should pursue your B.Sc Agriculture from a reputed university in which chances of agricultural companies visiting the is more for placements sessions. You must compare which university has a higher placement as compared to other institutes.
