    Being an agrarian country, Agriculture has huge scope and will never run out of job opportunities in either government sector or private sector both plus entrepreneurship opportunities too. Lots of Government as well as Private job opportunities are present for fresh graduates. Talking about Government jobs, State Agriculture Departments recruit agriculture graduates to fill up Officer level posts. Government Banks also recruit them to fill up Officer level posts (generally dealing with Loans). Some government sector organisations which have job opportunities are:

    Hi Sakshi, Agriculture is a primary source of livelihood for the majority of Indians. Thus, generally it remains the last priority among students choosing a career option. Which is a very wrong assumption. Agricultural graduates have wide scope of career in public sector and private sector. In fact entrepreneurship is a great opportunity to pursue your prospective career in agricultural field. It is just a myth that Agriculture does not offer job opportunities.     B.Sc. In Agriculture is a broad-based course with great potential. It deals with things like food production, horticulture, animal rearing, rural economy and rural development, environmental health, etc. Other industries may face downsizing but agriculture can never fall prey because food is the basic necessity for life.
