Dear Siddharth, Jobs can be got by students of B.Sc. Agriculture with firms of the private or public sectors. With public sector firms, one can get employed as Agricultural Research Scientist (ARS). But to get employed into this position, it will be needed for applicants to write an admission test. Job opportunities are also available for applicants as teachers. They can write the ARS-NET exam and get employed with colleges as lecturers. Jobs are also available for aspirants as Agriculture Development Officers (ADO) or as Block Development Officers. A few other areas where employment is offered to students of B.Sc. Hi Sidharth, Agriculture is a primary source of livelihood for the majority of Indians. Thus, generally it remains the last priority among students choosing a career option. Which is a very wrong assumption. Agricultural graduates have wide scope of career in public sector and private sector. In fact entrepreneurship is a great opportunity to pursue your prospective career in agricultural field. It is just a myth that Agriculture does not offer job opportunities. Lovely Professional University is the first private University who has got and accreditation from ICAR. Curriculum here is as per the guidelines of ICAR (Indian Council of Agr

    Hello Siddarth,
Agricultural graduates are absorbed as 'Agricultural Development Officers' by state governments. Banks also have special posts as specialist officers for agricultural graduates. A billion dollar private sector industry exists in contract farming, fertilizer, pesticide, /agrochemicals, farm forestry etc. That hires agricultural graduates. If you do MBA in agribusiness management and are upwardly mobile sky is the limit for salaries/perks offered. You can do Masters and Ph.D. and get absorbed in teaching/research in the Agricultural Universities/ ICAR Agricultural Research Service (Central Government). Private players als
