Hi,Pursuing PG course will be highly beneficial, since it will enhance ones qualification and help land better jobs! Also, completing Masters Education will help one take up the job post of a lecturer (at College). Studying further advanced courses like M.Phil. And, Ph.D will help one build a career in the R&D sector associated with the field of geology. Government as well as private sector job opportunities exist in front of Indian geology graduates. Thanks.

You may have to do a Masters also in the subject to make your chances bright. Many a time, a Bachelor degree may prove insufficient. Some specialisation is always anticipated.
