Yes, Lovely Professional University is a good private university for the Civil Engineering programme. LPU offers B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering. One of my best friends completed both B.Tech and M.Tech in Civil Engineering from LPU. He got placement as well while studying there. Now he has started his own business of construction and earning well. Recently, he told me that he is planning for a part-time Ph.D. from LPU itself in Civil Engineering. The following are a few points he shared with me about Civil Engineering at LPU:

At LPU it is an engineering course that articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology through lab practice and projects to gain knowledge in areas like Structural, Environmental, Highway Engineering, and Construction Management which are in sync with industry expectations. One needs an aggregate of 60 percent with PCM in class 12. There are professionally trained faculty at LPU who impart both theoretical and practical knowledge for the holistic development of the students. In addition to it, there is a dedicated department in LPU that looks into preparing students for placements. They train the students in verbal, analytic

Dear Manjit, There is a very good scope of B.Tech in Civil engineering from Lovely Professional University. The following are the highlights of Civil engineering in LPU: -
    1. Most of the faculty staff are from reputed organizations with their the highest degree from various reputed institutes such as IITs, NITs, etc. Apart from that, faculty have got previous industrial experience also.
    2. The capstone project is an integral part of B.Tech programme in which students have to pick a live project based on the practical problem-based scenario (ideally from industry) and work for six months under a mentor and present a report at the end. Th

There are numerous jobs available within the discipline of civil engineering, such as building surveyor, structural engineer, water engineer, nuclear engineer, and transport planner among others. Civil engineering graduates i.e civil engineers can work on any infrastructure project. This ranges from the construction and maintenance of bridges, power stations, airports, dams, roads & highways, expressways, waterways, industrial units, manufacturing plants, buildings, and factories, etc. As per my experience, Lovely Professional University is the best place for B.Tech civil engineering. Hey, so for LPU's end-term exam in Physical Education, you need at least 30% marks in the end-term itself, plus an overall 40% combining continuous assessment and end-term. That's the standard across their PE programs, and they've got a cool holistic review if you hit the aggregate but miss the end-term bit—super fair way to keep things student-friendly. Attendance stays key at 75% min, which makes sense for staying active in sports stuff. LPU really nails this balance, helping folks like us push through without harsh cutoffs, way better for building real fitness skills. No wonder it's a top pick—keeps motivation high and stress lo

Hey guys, so I checked the official LPU site for the BPEd course fee, and for the first year, it's around INR1 Lacs to INR1.09 lakhs, covering tuition at INR50,000 per semester plus exam fees of about INR4,500-INR5,000 each. That's super reasonable for a top-notch programme with awesome sports facilities and scholarships up to 60% if you score well in LPUNEST—like INR96,000 off per semester for high performers. LPU really makes it accessible without compromising quality, way better value than many places I've seen. Total for two years is INR2-2.18 lakhs, but first-year payment is straightforward via UPI or whatever. If you're into ph

Hey, so from what I've checked on LPU's official site, the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for sports programs like B.P.Ed is totally offline. It's this practical fitness check with stuff like a 50m sprint, standing broad jump, medicine ball throw (3kg for guys, 2kg for girls), and a 1000m run/walk—all done on campus with invigilators watching to keep it fair.
No online version here since it's hands-on physical activities, and you gotta bring your own sports kit or they won't let you in. LPU runs it in multiple schedules based on registrations, super flexible for everyone. Honestly, it's cool how they make it real-world ready witho

Hey, so the LPU Physical Efficiency Test (PET) isn't some super long drag—it's more like a quick fitness check that usually wraps up in 20 to 45 minutes, depending on how fit you are. You've got to nail a 50m sprint, standing broad jump, overhead medicine ball throw (3kg for guys, 2kg for gals), and a 1000m run/walk, all in one go with up to two tries. No fixed "hours" timer since it's practical stuff, not a marathon sit-down exam.LPU keeps it real and fair, testing real stamina for sports courses like B.P.Ed—super helpful to see if you're ready without wasting your day. Bring your own kit or you're out, but slots are flexible
