Biomedical Engineering in India has got varied scopes if you are comparing it with Mechanical Engineering in terms of job opportunities in India then, I would call it as an unfair comparison and advise you to join Mechanical Engineering in Nirma University.
The scope of biomedical engineering in India:
*After doing biomedical engineering, you can be employed in some MNC's as sales, service and application specialists.
*You can work as a research engineer as well in some OEM manufacturing companies. You can work as a biomedical engineer in the hospitals.
*You can pursue masters from any of the IIT's, IIT Bombay, Madras, Hyderabad and Kharag
    ...more
