    Civil engineering is one of the core branches of Engineering, it is the branch which is the base of many Constructions there is lot of scope in it you can get a job in the government sector under the Civil Engineer post which is highly reputed.

    Civil Engineering is still a fruitful option with several construction companies and metro rail corporations emerging. In public sector there are opportunities for Civil Engineers in academics, PWDs, Public Health Engineering and Water Authority and Irrigation departments. Entrepreneurial opportunities are limitless. Remember, dreams are not what you see in sleep, dreams are those that do not let you sleep!

    Amongst all branches of engineering, the range and application of civil engineering is the broadest and the most visible. One has to plan out, design and supervise the construction of different types of buildings and architectures.
    There is huge demand for civil engineers in India and it is also expected to get a boost as the country gets ready to upgrade its infrastructure with growing economic and political clout in the world.     Civil Engineering is the oldest branch of engineering and incorporates the design and construction of roads, airports, tunnels, bridges, water supply and sewage systems, dams, harbours, railroad systems, docks, power supply systems, buildings and even nuclear power plants etc. Civil Engineering has several specialities. Civil engineers work as construction engineers, transportation engineers, hydraulic and irrigation engineers, geotechnical engineers, environmental engineers, public works engineers.
