Chandigarh university is one of the best university for all branches either it's Civil engineering or any other branches. Here r some points I would like to mention Curriculum- curriculum is designed in a very well industrial and practical manner. In the 3rd and 4th year student has the option to choose different specialisation. Placement- India's the largest civil engineering company L&T, Shapoorji etc. Come to campus for recruitment. Faculty- According to my personal experience this one is the best thing I would like to mention about Chandigarh University. Faculty has a well knowledge about their Specilazed subjects. I am graduated from Cu bt still I am in touch with my faculty. Several workshop, seminars and technical events r conducted in department, which helps students in doing research work. Site visits and industrial training r part of the curriculum, which gives practical knowledge to students.

Civil engineers are in huge demand and this demand is expected to get a boost as all the countries are upgrading its infrastructure with growing economic and political influence. This outset opens a lot of opportunities for Civil Engineers in numerous private sector firms and government departments. One can also pursue teaching as a profession or can set up its own engineering consultancy as well.
