Hi Shanaya, The company secretary course has a wide scope, but it is tough too. You should opt for CMA (US) course. The duration of CMA course is 8 months. Also, CMA has a vast scope and is recognised globally. After completing CMA, you can earn up to 40 thousand rupees if you get a job in a good firm.

Hi, It has very lucrative and remunerative and with the implementation of companies act, 2013 the scope has widened for a company secretary as a professional. A company secretary can be in practice, or in employment be appointed as a key managerial person. Company secretary are also called as compliance managers as they are the ones with an overall and all round knowledge of various laws applicable on the industries. So it is noteworthy that along with the enhancement in scope, work and remuneration wise, responsibility and accountability is also increased. The salary package, though depends on your skills, knowledge and practical exposure, but on an average a fresher company secretary can get anything from a range of 25k to 40k a month.
