    Hi,
    There is good scope in the field only if it matches your interest and skills. If it matches, then you must opt for it.
    * Jobs in government sector after computer engineering are :
    - Graduates can work with different government companies such as DRDL, ISRO, ONGC, HCL, ISRO, ECIL and BEL.
    - They can also attend competitive exams conducted by UPSC, SSC etc.
    - The job profiles offered in public sector is much similar to that in private sector enterprises. The main advantage of government, sector job is that it provides job security.

    Yes., software engg is having a very ggod scope. Based on your programming skills, you can go for developing or testing in software. You can choose Batchelor of Engineering in Computer ? Information science to become a software engineering.

    Computer studies is high in demand and there is a little chance of it not doing well in another 2 decades.What i suggest you is to do a Msc in computer application where you can learn all the basics and other technicalities in depth and it will give you a upper hand.
