What is the scope of doing MBA in operation management through distance education?

The scope for an MBA in operations in India are immense. I know many companies such as L&T Engineering, TVS motors, Zuari group, Bosch are some examples and scores of other cos have recruited/are hiring freshly minted MBAs for their operations. Banks such as, Yes Bank also hire for their operations.
