What is the scope of Electrical & Electronic Engineering? Are the placements good?

EEE is not bad if you wish to have placements in firms like BHEL, NTPC , Siemens or State Electricity Boards. Since many IT firms come to campuses for placements and offer training, EEE candidates are also found in multinational firms too.
