What is the scope of journalism for women?

Hi, Journalism and mass communication has a good scope ahead. With the growing importance of the media today, the opportunities in this field are numerous and the job is also very demanding and exhilarating. You can find jobs as sub-editors, reporters or correspondents in the print and electronic media or as assistant information officers and public relations officers in the government information services, public relations departments and so on. Journalists can be writers, editors or photographers, broadcast presenters or producers. However, your success and salary in this field will depend on your caliber. Some basic knowledge about journalism also is good enough, since degrees have limited relevance in the media sector. The most prestigious courses are, however, available at the PG level for which the eligibility is a graduation in any discipline. A good route is to do study journalism or any other course at the undergraduate level while doing summer jobs and projects with local media companies like newspapers or television channels. This will put you in a good position to get admission in leading PG courses for mass communications or journalism. You may then be recruited in any profile in: 1. Public relations. 2. Advertising. 3.
