By doing MCA, it does not mean that you are bound to join the coding industry. You can move towards IT infrastructure or IT security domain. But, first of all make sure that your MCA program is updated to the latest standard. My personal preference would be Chitkara University.
For the foreseeable future, software is not going out of trend because all gadgets are running on microprocessors and every such thing needs unlimited support.

As per NASSCOM Indian IT industry revenues grew by 13% in FY2015 and it added 2, 30,000 employees in FY15. NASSCOM has forecasted that IT industry exports will grow by 12-14% and domestic market by 15-17% in FY2016.
B.Tech CSE and MCA graduates from a prestigious colleges are good proposition for career in IT industry as Indian IT industry prefer B.Tech CSE and MCA for application development and maintenance roles.

MCA has a wide variety of applications and it's scope in India is also really good, because India is moving towards development in IT sector and Indian IT industry prefer B.Tech CSE and MCA for application development and maintenance roles. So, it is a good choice.
