    There is vast scope in the field of microbiology due to the advancement in the field of science and technology. The scope in this field is immense due to the involvement of microbiology in many fields like medicine, pharmacy, diary, industry, clinical research, water industry, agriculture, chemical technology and nanotechnology.
    The study of microbiology contributes greatly to the understanding of life through enhancements and intervention of microorganisms. There is an increase in demand for microbiologists in India and globally. A microbiologist can innovate new diagnostic kits, discover new drugs, teach, research, etc.

    Microbiology is a broad discipline that involves the study of the biology of bacteria, viruses, protozoa and fungi. The main focus of our course is the pathogenic potential of the organisms that cause disease in man. We also cover aspects of the biochemistry, physiology and genetics of microorganisms.
    The average starting pay for a Microbiologist is Rs 3 lakhs to 4 lakhs per annum. Most people with this job move on to other positions in 10 years. Skills that are associated with high pay for this job are microbiology and sterility. Experience strongly influences income in this field.
