What is the scope of parametric architecture in India?

Parametric architecture has brought a great deal of change to the architecture profession. It has contributed to the creation of a tangible space that will not only last years and the digital age but will also help shape the way forward to a more sustainable and expressive way of designing. Every design, after all, is based on parameters. However, the future scope for such architecture is not great in India, primarily because one, it is a very expansive course, and two, people here don't have a taste for it. But again, the cost is the major factor, and honestly, I don't SEE the point of such architecture in our country, where a lot of people don't even have houses and are still struggling with basic requirements. Thus, it's better to spend that money on mass housing than on some kind of signature architecture.
