What is the scope of pursuing PhD in English?
I have done MA and MPhil in English. I have been a topper.

If you are that good in English, then you should go for a lectureship. It is really reputed work in India. If you are not in interested in it then you should become a writer. Writers work in many industries, such as publishing, technology, business, not-for-profit, advertising and media.

Ph.D in English qualification will make you eligible to teach in universities in India & abroad and help make career in field of higher education ad teacher and/or educational administrator. Based on your profile, it is recommended that you must do Ph.D in English.
