What is the scope of retail management and marketing (RMM) course? Is it worth investing 11 lakhs for this course?

I got selected for PGDM-RMM course in Institute for Technology and Management (ITM)-Navi Mumbai.

    Well to be honest, investing 11 lakhs for ITM is not worth. Average salary package is around 5-6lacs and very few of them get packages more than 10 lakhs, which too is in international currency.
    Designation offered are floor managers and operation managers which requires working on weekends too.
    If you are quite passionate, then no one will stop you but keep in mind the above parameters. All the best.

    Retail sales today are the major contributor to the revenue of a business. Everything we see selling around us involves retail operations.
    Education in retail management offers a wide scope after MBA, as most MBA aspirants in India land up in sales jobs despite studying in fields like Marketing, Finance, HR, Insurance, International business, etc. Whereas, MBA in Retail will offer a broader range of job opportunities in the service industry in India and abroad, as long as the candidate has the right attitude and skills.
