    Energy Law as a specialization is still in its infancy in India. However, for long energy sector has been a sector ridden with regulatory, economical, political, social and commercial nuances. Wherever these factors are working together, it is a ripe place for legal interventions. And therefore, there is enough scope for anyone with a good legal background to make a name for herself in the sector.
    However, to be a good lawyer in the energy sector, you don't really need a specialization in energy laws (specially at the undergraduate level). Exposure to the basics of the sector and to regulations will definitely benefit you, but in my opi
