In VFX there is good scope , that actually practically you yourself can judge , just see the tv ads, you can surely notice , these days almost 6 out of the 10 tv ads uses vfx, compare to even 1 year back its a big change .
But i suggest always go for a long term or mid long term course instead of a short term course of 3 to 6 months . It will help you in learning something in depth and in detail, this will definitely help you in future.

If you take up VFX, it would be better if you do it after learning animation, otherwise you'd be stuck in a Rotoscopy job for lifetime. Also, it would be helpful, if you're good with dynamics, or matte painting, since those would offer you areas for growth.
