I am very much interested in working on web (front end) development. I am currently working with http://dealmonitor.blogspot.in/ and looking forward for a new career. I wanted to know what is the scope of the website field?

The scope of web development is much larger than that of web design, In fact, web design is a subset of Web Development. In more precise terms, Web development refers to markup, coding, internet applications, social networking etc.
Web Development includes-:
Database design and programming
Database integration
Data importing
Dynamic page creation
Developing web interface for data entry
Create custom site engine
Add features to or modify existing script
