    HNBGU is NAAC accredited with an 'A' grade. HNBGU is a member of AIU. HNBGU is ranked fourth out of the 33 universities in Uttarakhand by Edurank. Out of 876 Indian universities, Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University is rated 120th.

    The Mechanical Engineering Department offers Four years Under Graduate programme in Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech).
