What is the section-wise weightage of VARC, DILR and Quantitative Aptitude in CAT Syllabus?

    Common Admission Test, commonly know as CAT is conducted by Indian Institute of Management in the month of November. It's important for CAT aspirants to have sheer knowledge of each topic and subject to have a clear preparation strategy. CAT syllabus includes Quantitative Aptitude (QA), Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) and Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR). As per the last few year's exam patterns, CAT usually gives more emphasis to QA making up to 34% weightage followed by VARC, 34% and DILR which has 32% of the test.     The CAT exam has three sections - Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. Among these three sections, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension has the maximum weightage of 24 questions and 72 marks. The Quantitative Aptitude has second the highest weightage of 22 questions and 66 marks. The Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning section has the lowest weightage of 20 questions and 60 marks.
