The selection criteria for the B.E. B.Tech courses in Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science are generally evaluated using entrance examination score and marks obtained during the academics. Candidates must have Higher Secondary (or equivalent) education and minimum percentages of Physics and Mathematics and Chemistry. The institute more often also administers common entrance exam score, e.g., TS EAMCET.
