To be eligible for a B.E. or B.Tech course at the National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology (NIAMT) in Ranchi, you must meet the following criteria:
- Class 12thYou must have passed the 10+2 exam or equivalent with a minimum of 75% marks. You can also qualify if you are in the top 20 percentile of the class.
- SubjectsYou must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Technical Vocational.
- ExamYou must also score well in the accepted exams, such as JEE Main, JEECE, or DASA UG.

Admission to B.Tech programs is offered through JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). Students who have appeared for either JEE Mains or JEE Advanced must keep the following points in mind while registering:
- Students having qualified JEE Mains are eligible to apply for seat allotment to NITs only.
- While JEE Advanced qualified candidates can apply to all participating institutions.
- Applicants can fill as many options while registering in the decreasing order.
