Every IIT candidate must take JEE Main and then JEE Advanced. The JEE Advanced exam will only be open to the top 2,24,000 JEE Main scorers. The candidates must have placed in the top 20 percentile or earned at least 75% of the possible marks in the 12th-grade exam administered by the relevant boards
