The selection criteria for BA admission at Rabindra Bharati University depends on the sought BA specialisation. The univeristy releases a merit list of shortlisted candidates based on the following selection criteria:

RBU BA Courses	RBU BA Selection Criteria
English, Bengali, Sanskrit, History, Political Science, Philosophy and Economics	20% weightage to Class 10 score 30% weightage to Class 12 aggregate in top four subjects excluding Environmental Studies 50% weightage to the Class 12 score in the subject in which Major/Hons/Hons with Research is sought
Rabindra Sangeet, Vocal Music, Dance, Drama, Instrumental Music, Percussion and Western Classical Music	50% weightage to Practical Test 30% weightage to Written Theoretical Test 20% weightage to Class 12 aggregate in top four subjects
