What is the selection process for B Tech and what is the minimum JEE percentile required?

<p>The traditional route to a BTech course is through an entrance examination after Class 12. The other mode is called Lateral-Entry, and it allows candidates to enroll in a BTech course in their second year. Those with a three-year Diploma in engineering can enroll in BTech through the Lateral-Entry Scheme.</p><p>Typically, securing admission to premier IITs necessitates a percentile score of at least 90. A JEE Mains score in the range of 230 to 250 is considered competitive. Furthermore, achieving a rank between 15,000 and 20,000 is crucial for securing seats in the top IITs. General Category candidates aiming for NITs are required to attain a minimum percentile score of 95, while reserved category candidates find eligibility with an 80 percentile score for NIT admission.</p><p>Admission to NITs requires a minimum percentile score of 95 for General Category candidates, and an 80 percentile score for Reserved Category candidates.</p><p><strong>Admission process:</strong></p><p>In India, separate government counselling is held for every state in which you can apply for councelling and after the ranklist has been published you can select the colleges of your interest and submit. After the end of counselling, you will get an allotment order for a particular college that you're eligible of . If you're okay with it you can pay fees and get admission . Or else you can proceed for an upward movement. This process is based on 10+2 cut off ofmaths physics and chemistry.</p><p>Whereas, a candidate can get admission via JEE counselling also. In this counselling, instead of 10+2 cut off, JEE percentile is considered and rest of the process is same . So this is the admission process for BTech through merit or counselling .&nbsp;</p><p>If a candidate's educational grade is not satisfied, they can go and get admission in the college directly in the management Quota where the college demands for some donation.&nbsp;</p>
