CEG offers two admission processes for B.Tech based on domicile:
1. For Tamil Nadu students: Admission via TNEA based on normalized PCM Class XII marks, not JEE score. Participation in TNEA counseling is required.
2. For non-Tamil Nadu students: Admission relies on JEE Main AIR. Aim for a score above the estimated cut-off, varying by category and branch. After JEE Main, register for CSAB counseling and select CEG. Understanding these processes is vital for prospective applicants seeking admission to CEG's B.Tech programs. -
The selection process for B.Tech at CEG involves appearing for the JEE Main exam, but the primary mode of admission is through the TNEA counselling (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission). Candidates must have a minimum of 45% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2 examinations to be eligible for admission. There is no minimum JEE Main score specified for direct admission.
