Participating in the entrance exam is the first step. The majority of B.Tech specialisations, such as CSE, ECE, Mechanical, etc., require a qualifying percentile in JEE Main. However, some programmes, especially less competitive ones, may take into account results from the university-conducted GUET. Depending on the programme and entrance exam, individuals who made the short list may be invited to attend the counselling phase, which is the second step.
