To get selected for the BTech course at UPES Dehradun, the university starts the process primarily from securing a valid score in either the entrance exam or Class 12 for some of the BTech specialsiations. Once, applicants secured a decent score. They can choose the desired specialisation, and as per the seat availability and scores secured, the university releases the merit, followed by a counselling process.
