    The Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) exam will be conducted through UPSC. The selection process is as follows for IRMS officers:
    1. This exam will be conducted from 2023 onwards.
    2. The prelims for this exam will be conducted along with the CSE prelims.
    3. After the announcement of the CSE cutoff, the IRMS cutoff will be announced separately.
    4. The second stage is the Mains, which consists of four papers.
    5. Out of these four, two are qualifying papers and two optional papers, which will account for merit.
    6. The qualifying papers are similar to the UPSC compulsory English and Indian language papers.
