    Candidates are admitted to MBA programmes based on their performance in the entrance exam, group discussion (GD), and personal interview (PI). In addition to having a valid scorecard from exams like the CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, CMAT, etc., candidates must have finished their graduation in any discipline. The IIM administers the Common Admission Test (CAT), a national business aptitude test, to candidates seeking admission to the MBA programmes provided by its 20 campuses and more than 1,200 B-schools across India.
