    JIPMER is an Indian central government funded institute with autonomy to run its internal administration. JIPMER is both an educational institute that imparts undergraduate and postgraduate medical training and a working hospital that provides inexpensive medical care to a large number of patients.

    The candidate should be an Indian citizen. The NRI/OCI candidates belonging are also eligible to apply. A candidate should have doneClass 12th or equivalent from any recognised board or University in PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology) with English. The general category candidate should have scored a minimum of 50% marks. The reserved category candidates, SC/ST/OBC/OPH should have scored a minimum of 40% marks and the general category OPH should have a score of 45% marks. A candidate should be 17 years of age at the time of the admission. The appearing candidates of the Class 12th are eligible to apply for the exam.
